New at this
I am very new at this blogging thins. I am unsure of how to find people on here. Right now I am just going off of my friend Jenn's page and reading her friends blogs. I want to add a blogroll...how would I go about that?? I also would like to learn as much about this website as I can, so if anybody has any advice, or info to help me out that would be great. I really look forward to reading some interesting blogs, and making some new friends!!! I would also like to say, everybody please please please keep my friend in your prayers!!! I appreciate it so much. Thank you all!

okay... so you sign in... then you go to... LAYOUT... this is where you can change pretty much anything on your blog... you are in "layout" now and you want to go to one of the boxes on the right hand side of the screen that say "Add a Page Element"... you click that... then you are into a pop up window... once there, you want to click on "Link List" once you open that... you copy and paste peoples url in the box and then add their name to it too, then add it to your page, make sure you save the changes, and then you will see the list form on the side of your blog... you can also pick diff layouts and colors in here too... you can add a bunch of diff things to your blog... you'll see most of them in the "Add a Page Element" box and you will just do the same thing but in new box on your "layout" page. If you need some more guidance I will help you one night when you are over here! :) i'm sure you'll get it.. you're a smart cookie... :)

Thank you Jennifer for the sweet comments;) Jill, what Jennifer has stated about adding to your blogroll is REALLY simple and after you do it once or twice it will seem like old school.
You are MORE than welcome to add me or anyone on my blogroll. I'm a divorced mother of two kids and I started my blog last August so I haven't been on this site for very long either. But once I started to figure things out and play with it, I took off and it has been a fun ride so far.
Another way to surf other blogs is to view anyones profile. It's normally under the main pic of them and it says, "view my profile." When you go into it everything they have listed under the information about hobbies, interests, favorite stuff, it's all highlighted. If your interested in searching for a similar interest like reading, writing , shopping, whatever, all you have to do is click on that word and it will bring up a list of other bloggers that have also listed the same interest in their profile..I hope that makes sense to you.

Heard about your from Jennifer and just wanted to let you know that your friend and her family is in her prayers. I hope all turns out well.
As for meeting people--jennifer did an awesome job explaining what you need to do to start your own blog roll.
Jennifer has a great list of blogs. From there--the possibilities are endless. I usually visit the blogs on the blog rolls of blogs I like (does that even make sense?). I figure if I like them, I'll like the blogs they read.

Hi, here by way of Jennifer. Welcome to the world of blogging! One way to find people and get started reading other people's blogs is to join a blogging community such as Blog 365. Another way is to do what you are already doing - read and comment on the blogs you find on Jennifer's page and the ones you find on other people's blogrolls. Check out mine if you wish - there's something for everyone on there, from rock climbing to blogs to political blogs to ridiculous blogs to mommy blogs to blogs in extremely poor taste but I read them anyway because they are so funny, etc. Also, I will light a candle for your friend today at church. Don't be discouraged by what the doctor's say. They don't know everything. Your friend is young and her will to live is an important factor the doctors can't factor into their calculations. Please update us if you get any news!
